Testing Protocol:

Count maximum repetitions of military-style pull up with full extension. Arms should be at shoulder width with overhand grip. Athlete starts in lowered position with arms fully extended and must raise to at least eye-level for a valid rep. Must return to fully lowered position to begin next rep.

Scoring Notes:

  • Count only full repetitions – no credit for half-reps
  • No swinging or kipping to generate momentum
  • Warn athlete immediately when a rep is not valid
  • Legs should remain fully straight to body
  • Athlete may rest as this is an untimed test
